Director

Dr. Nick V. Flor Nick V. Flor is an Associate Professor of Information Systems, Film & Digital Media at the University of New Mexico. He holds a PhD & Masters in Cognitive Science and a Bachelors in Computer Science all from the University of California San Diego. Prior to UNM, he was a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration. Before academia Dr. Flor worked ten years in industry as a software engineer and project leader at Hewlett Packard San Diego. Responsibilities: Project management, code development

Scientists

Dr. Olga Lavrova Dr. Olga Lavrova is a Faculty Advisor for Team ASUNM. She is an Assistant Professor with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of New Mexico. Her research interests include photovoltaics and nano-scale semiconductor structures for photovoltaic applications, as well as Smart Grid and emerging energy generation, distribution and storage technologies. Dr. Olga Lavrova is also the founder and faculty advisor for UNM’s Solar Car team. She also pioneered collaboration between the ECE Department and School of Architecture at UNM, which lead to two “Solar House” competitions. Responsibilities: Energy Research

 

Graduate Students

	Monica Merker Monica Merker is an MBA candidate at the Anderson School of Management with a dual concentration in Marketing and International Management. She was awarded the Black Trust Academic Scholarship through Anderson for her academic accomplishments. She is a Graduate Assistant and Project Assistant under Professor Nick V. Flor. She also works as a Procurement Technical Assistant for the University of New Mexico Purchasing Department. Responsibilities: Market research & analysis, promotions, project management
	RuthAnn Tibbetts RuthAnn Tibbetts is an MBA candidate at the Anderson School of Management with a dual concentration in Marketing and Operations Management. She holds a BBA with concentrations in Marketing and Human Resource Management. She is a Project and Graduate Assistant under Professor Nick V. Flor. 	Jennifer Lake Jennifer Lake is an MBA candidate at the Anderson School of Management with a dual concentration in Management Information Systems & Entrepreneurship. Her BBA is in Marketing.
